On Sunday, October 3, 2021, the National Kidney Foundation will be hosting their Southern California Kidney Walk. This is an event that Melissa, or Missy to many of you, was passionate about. I am carrying on her passion and dedication to the cause of kidney disease. While I will not be able to participate in this event, I want to honor her and continue to support this cause on her behalf. On January 31, 2022, it will be one year since our angel left this earth. We all lost something precious, a wife, sister, cousin, friend, coworker, supporter, teacher, mentor, guardian. While we miss her presence here, she is now whole in heaven. No more pain, doctor’s visits, and I believe even a little taller. She is up there watching over us; her contagious smile shining down on dark days to brighten our moods.
She dedicated her life to her patients, coworkers, DaVita, and the Kidney Foundation.


To continue her commitment I have created a National Kidney Foundation account. I’m asking you to donate to this fund between now and January 30, 2022. All the money raised will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Melissa Wellman on January 31, 2022. The one-year anniversary of her passing and going to her forever home in Heaven.
