A Special Tribute for Anthony Joseph Cervantes
Support a cause that's close to my heart
Anthony Joseph Cervantes
Anthony Joseph Cervantes, 73, of Sterling, Illinois died peacefully in his sleep on May 21 surrounded by loved ones following an eight-year battle with cancer.
Tony retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire where he worked for 34 years as a crain operator, but was not one to sit idly at home so he began working at Westwood Fitness and Sports where he worked for 12 more years. In his free time, Tony enjoyed working in his yard and supporting his grandchildren in all of their endeavors.
Tony was married to the love of his life, Selia, for 55 years. They had two children Mark (Michelle) Cervantes of Normal, Illinois and Danielle (Jeff) Holzbauer of Bloomington, Illionois. Tony was a devoted grandfather of Addison, Zach, Lauren, Alex, and Avery.
Tony was the son of Concha and the late Lorenzo Cervantes, and the loving brother of Mary Kay Kested (Terry), Lorenzo Cervantes Jr. (Dana), David Cervantes, and Laura (Donald) Conklin.
Your generosity will fund the fight to:
- Expand access to home dialysis and kidney transplants for all Americans.
- Increase funding for kidney disease research
-Identify and eliminate kidney health disparities
